Alan Matthews
Alan had a successful career in publishing prior to moving into television in 1980. He joined an international publishing company and set up their production department before setting up his own company in 1984.

In 1990 that company became a division of ABC television until 1993 when it was purchased by a publishing house. That same year Alan set up Cutting Edge Productions and has been actively making television programmes for broadcast, industry and charities since then.

Alan is Married with two children.

Tim Matthews
Tim started in production almost as soon as he left full time education. Initially it was alongside other work he was involved in but as his interest grew so he found himself more and more drawn to television. Like many in our industry Tim is multi-skilled and able to oversee a project from conception right through to finished programme.

His is a skilled Jimmy Jib Operator and talented editor as well as being able to turn his hand to all things technical ( he built our Outside Broadcast mobile) and creative.

His job satisfaction is taking an idea to final project and in the process exceeding his clients expectations.

Paul Cadogan
During four years at art college Paul specialised in video production. From there he went into the conference production industry, and was soon working in video and television. He developed skills as a cameraman and editor producing programmes for corporations like Land Rover, British Aerospace, Jaguar, Lotus.

Paul has worked alongside Cutting Edge for a number of years and joined us fulltime 4 years ago. He is a valuable member of the team particularly specialising in After FX visual effects while working day to day on camera, editing and vision mixing for multi-camera shoots.
